 このたび日経BP社では、2015年のアフリカビジネスに関する企画として、来る8月31日、9月1日、2日にアフリカ連合や国連のアフリカ開発機関が集結するエチオピアの首都アディスアベバにて、「アフリカ-日本・ビジネス投資フォーラム2015」を開催することとなりました。

 エチオピアは、日本政府と同政府との間の産業政策対話を通じて、東南アジアの発展をモデルとした工業化政策を推進するとともに、日本のものづくりの精神ともいえる“KAIZEN”を国を挙げて推進してきました。同国の産業政策の取り組みは、資源ビジネスに依存しない産業高度化を目指すアフリカの未来のモデルケースといえます。エチオピアは食糧自給率が高い農業国としても知られており、アフリカ全体の農業ビジネス・フードバリューチェーンの発展をリードする可能性を秘めています。また、同国は日本との皇室外交ももつなど親日的な国であり、この4月にはエチオピア航空により成田―アディスアベバ直行便が飛ぶ予定であり地理的な距離感も近い国となってきます。

 本フォーラムでは“トランスフォーメーション(産業構造改革)”を推進し、創立50周年に向けたAGENDA 2063を総会発表したアフリカ連合からは産業貿易のコミッショナー、国連での推進役である国連アフリカ経済委員会のロペス事務局長、COMESAの事務局長の講演、登壇が決定しました。AUと日本側との間で、日本のアフリカへの投資・技術貢献に関する日本―アフリカ間のダイアローグの場となります。

 本フォーラムは、産業高度化をすすめるエチオピアを開催地とし、『日本とアフリカ諸国の協働によるアフリカのビジネスイノベーション』をテーマに、アフリカの持続的な成長、トランスフォーメーションにむけ、日本の投資が期待されるインフラ、エネルギー、農業ビジネス、製造業、金融、などの分野におけるパネルディスカッションが繰り広げられるほか、アフリカの産業高度化、金融・ロジスティックス、農業・食品のフードバリューチェーンなどをテーマに3日間にわたって議論します。
